With the change of administration in the White House, and more importantly, a change of political ideology, it is interesting to see how there has been a radical 180 shift in roles. During the Obama administration you had the political right full of fear, seeing a bogeyman under every rock, fueling the gowth of the “conspiracy theory” and “alt-right” movement. Now that the shoe is on the other foot and a person of the political right has made it into office (or at least one the political right supported,) I’ve witnessed an immediate shift in roles with the political left now experiencing the debilitating role of fearfulness, looking for the bogeyman under every rock.
Having gone through the awakening experience starting in the mid-aughts through the present, I’ve gone through my own experience of process looking for bogeymen, validating, disproving, and ultimately waking up from this matrix of madness we’re caught in.
What I can see springing up in these upcoming few years is a rise in the alt-left/conspiracy-theory world. If my own experience is any guide, however, we’ll also witness the people of the political left, who for the last eight years had little incentive to dig, discover and wake up, (since “their guy” and therefore their ideology, was on top,) begin ro wake up themselves.
On a deeper level this works out well- each side gets a chance to see things from the previous party’s point of view. Another silver lining is that the people that woke up during the last several years will reach out to those who now feel oppressed and help guide them through the process to get to the other side; a win/win for humanity.
In closing, it’s not all that bad. You have to get a little fever to get the sickness out of you, and with the rising if consciousness that we are experiencing now, this couldn’t have come at a better time.
So sit back, don’t get sucked in too much by the drama, and look for opportunities to lend a hand to your fellow man in need.
