Fireside Note: It’s Already A Small World

As I sit here watching the World Cup (some great matches, by the way,) the thought comes to mind of how we are already a small world.  The nations of the Earth are but arbitrary boundaries that no longer really define that much.  (I’ll argue that people decide to use those boundaries to limit the scope of their identity.)  I already see us as one, so when I watch the games, there’s so little between the differences in these players, other than the places on our world that they grew up in.

It’s a nice feeling to be able to look at others and not see the differences like I (and we, for the most part,) used to.

Be well, Everyone.
